Shirting for Uniforms

Shirting is woven lighter and finer than suiting, spun from higher yarn counts so the cloth stays soft, breathable and comfortable against the skin through a full working day. Where suiting is built for structure and drape, shirting is built for the shirt: a smooth face that presses crisp, sits well under a collar and keeps its shape wash after wash.

Our shirtings run from an ultra-light micro-spun quality to fine poly-viscose weaves in both narrow and full widths, so a program can standardise on one hand across shirts, blouses and layering pieces.

Width is a real cost lever in shirting that buyers often miss. We weave shirting in both 36 inch and 58 inch formats, and the right width follows the cutting plan: a full-width cloth yields more garments per meter on volume runs, while the narrow format suits smaller tailoring setups. The same quality in two widths lets a program keep one hand and shade while each stitching unit orders the format its tables cut best.

Shade is the other half of a shirting program. Our Commander PV Ultima shirting is held on a 135-shade card, so a buyer can match a shirt to an existing trouser or brand colour from stock rather than waiting on a custom dye lot. Stock shades ship from 50 meters, which keeps shirt top-ups viable at the size a growing team actually orders.
