Bed sheeting is not uniform cloth. It is cut wide, washed harder and rotated on a replacement cycle, so the construction is built around the laundry rather than the wearer. Ours is woven at 58 inch width in line patterns, the format hospitals and institutional buyers order in.
Two builds cover most of that buying: a 100% polyester quality at 178 GSM in big-line and small-line patterns, where cost per wash decides, and a poly-viscose 70/30 quality at 192 GSM with a fuller handle for wards that want sheeting closer to home linen.
Institutional sheeting is judged in the laundry, not the linen cupboard. A hospital sheet sees near-daily hot washing at temperatures that would end a domestic sheet inside months, so the polyester content is doing real work: it holds the cloth's strength and the woven line pattern through hundreds of cycles. The 58 inch width is the format institutional buyers cut to standard ward beds without piecing.
Most buyers order sheeting alongside their uniform program rather than as a separate purchase, and it ships the same way: from ready stock in the standard line patterns, with volumes matched to a replacement cycle rather than a one-time fit-out. That keeps ward linen on a predictable rotation instead of an emergency purchase when stocks run down.

Where it is used
End uses are hospital wards, private rooms, hostels and other institutions that launder linen in bulk. Sheets are usually ordered alongside staff uniforms so one supplier holds both standards. Because all three qualities are woven on a 147 cm width, sizing for standard hospital beds can be planned from the same width.
Choosing, care and comparison
Hospitals and hostels often use a striped sheet so linen is easy to identify and sort in the laundry. The two polyester line qualities share a weight and differ only in stripe width, so a facility can assign one pattern per ward or building. The premium PV quality is heavier and softer for private rooms.
Institutional sheets are washed constantly, so follow the laundry's normal cycle at moderate temperatures and avoid harsh bleach on coloured stripes. Polyester sheeting dries fast and resists wear, while the PV blend trades a little drying speed for a softer feel.
Stock shades ship from 50 m per shade, and custom shades are woven to order from 500 m per shade after lab dip approval. Price is on request.
