Fabric type
Linings for Uniforms
Poly-viscose lining cloth for the inside of blazers, jackets and uniform tailoring.

Lining is the part of a uniform nobody photographs and everybody notices when it fails. It has to slide over a shirt sleeve, take the same laundering as the shell, and not be the reason a blazer comes back. On a school or corporate blazer program it is ordered alongside the shell cloth, in matching volume.
Ours is poly-viscose 70/30 in two builds: a 215 GSM stripe, the traditional lining look for uniform tailoring, and a heavier 242 GSM with a smoother, more premium drape where the blazer is the flagship garment of the program.
Properties
- Slides clean
- A smooth face that lets a sleeve pass over a shirt without dragging.
- Matched to the shell
- PV 70/30, so it launders and shrinks in step with the outer cloth.
- Two weights
- 215 GSM stripe for standard tailoring, 242 GSM for a premium drape.
- Ordered together
- Held alongside the blazer cloth so shell and lining land on one delivery.
Best for
- School and college blazers
- Corporate blazers and waistcoats
- Uniform jackets and tunics
